Saul Kim
Saul Kim Studio / Kaywon University of Art and Design
Saul Kim is an architectural designer and educator whose work redefines conventional boundaries through his experimental research platform, Architecture Anomaly. Rooted in Object-Oriented Ontology, his design approach treats architectural forms, space, and time as autonomous entities, leading to compositions that challenge traditional functionality and provoke new spatial interpretations. Architecture Anomaly has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions, earning recognition for its visionary approach.
Through his studio, Saul participates in international conceptual design projects across the U.S., Canada, Korea, and Ukraine. In Korea, his unique model involves providing conceptual frameworks while collaborating with local architects for implementation—bridging global vision with regional execution.
Equally dedicated to education, Saul has lectured at institutions such as RISD, Pratt Institute, and the National University of Singapore. As an adjunct professor at Kaywon University of Art and Design, and through his Domestika courses taken by over 4,000 students, he emphasizes developing creativity through practice and critical thinking. His teaching cultivates individual design voices and fosters diverse creative expression, influenced by insights gained from global pedagogical systems.
