DongyUN KIM

Dongyun Kim is a data scientist at TWO, a deep tech company that aims to lead the future of interactive AI experiences in Silicon Valley, educator, and architectural designer. He is eager to explore the relationship between technology and design and bridge the gap between them. He started his career as a designer but expanded his area to the engineering field. This unique experience allows him to bridge the gap between designers and engineers. His current interests are focused on data science, machine learning, data visualization, generative design methodologies, digital fabrication, and robotics.

He has worked in a variety of fields academically as well as professionally. He had practice experience in SOM and worked as a graduate researcher at Ajou University in South Korea. Also, he was a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant in Lab for Design Technologies at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the Polyhedral Structures Laboratory (PSL) at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design.

Dongyun received a Master in Design Studies with a concentration in Technology at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Master of Science in Design (Advanced Architectural Design) from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design where he was awarded Korean Government Scholarship Program for Study Overseas. He also holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Hongik University in Seoul.
