Hanjun Kim is an architectural designer and educator based in London, specialising in computational design methodologies. He is a course tutor at the Architectural Association Design Research Lab (AADRL) Master’s programme and an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. In addition, he teaches computational modules at UCL Bartlett B-Pro and has delivered lectures at various institutions, including London South Bank University, Hongik University, Seoul National University, and the AA Visiting School Seoul. He holds a Master’s degree from the AADRL and a Bachelor’s degree from Hongik University in South Korea.
Hanjun’s academic and professional work focuses on computational and generative approaches to architecture, particularly the augmentation of spatial perception through human–technology interaction. His research investigates the transformative effects of visual modulation on architectural experience. Current projects further extend this inquiry by integrating Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality into architectural design practice. This body of work encompasses a broad spectrum of disciplines, including digital art, algorithmic design, AI-generated concept art, furniture and interior design, architectural design, and urban-scale strategies.
